I purchased a home in 2013. The house was originally built in 1980 and already had an addition. John’s design team worked with me to redesign the entire home, both interior and exterior, including the addition, a 500sf seamless master suite, to create a flow and openness in a transitional contemporary style. John and his staff listened to my every wish and handled all of the design exactly how I wanted. There were numerous structural modifications that were implemented to meet my wish list for the home. The home was completely gutted and reconstructed with customized touches throughout that included a newly poured stamped concrete and paver driveway, a remodeled 3 car garage with custom wood garage doors including workspace and storage, my “Dream Kitchen” including professional appliances and an eating/cooking island combination overlooking the re-vamped family room, an alder w/glass double door front entry, and maple double french doors from the interior rooms leading out to the redone backyard with a completely updated swimming pool and spa, newly poured stamped concrete and paver combination patio decking and a built-in BBQ. All of this work and a whole lot more were completed by a team of skilled tradesman under John’s supervision.

John and his team of designers and tradesman took over the 6300sf renovation project in Pasadena in February, 2015. At the time the home was completely gutted on the interior and the exterior had not been maintained for a substantial time period. Within weeks, they obtained all of the proper permits from the City of Pasadena and moved forward with the design, selection of materials, and procuring suppliers and tradesman integrating the use of his own as well as local suppliers and tradesman. John contacted one of the top local real estate professionals to help determine how the home should be finished to meet the needs of buyers in the Pasadena marketplace.
As an owner that was two hours removed from the home, the reliance on John and his team to complete this project in a timely and efficient manner was most important. During the six month time renovation period I only visited the home three times. John and his team took the required hands on approach to this renovation project from its inception, through the marketing period, to the close of escrow. John’s concern for meeting the schedule, the demands of the marketplace, and meeting the projected budget was most impressive.
